Dimapur, Aug. 24 (EMN): A community group in Phek district has issued an ‘ultimatum against termination of service’ to the government authorities. The ‘Khusoh Khel’ of Yoruba in Phek district issued a representation on Saturday addressed to the commissioner of Nagaland.

An office peon was stated to have been appointed in the establishment of the additional deputy commissioner (ADC) of Chozuba in Phek district ‘on land donor basis.’

‘However, to our surprise, he was terminated from service without any pre-information and without valid reasons. It is worth mentioning that the land occupied by ADC office was donated by Dutsorunumi clan of Khusoh khel of Yoruba village,’ the representation stated.

‘The legal right of the land donor is deprived and insulted. The competent authority is therefore, requested to cancel the termination order dated Phek, the 23rd of July 2019 and extension of service be made at the earliest on or before the 31st of August 2019,’ the group stated.

Failing to meet the “sincere request” will compel the Khusoh khel to take its own course of action “as per the law of the land and even to the extent of closure the office (sic),” the group stated. The authority in concern is requested to ‘immediately intervene in the case and do the needful in order to avoid any untoward incident else the concerned authority shall be solely responsible.’
