Khango-led NSCN (K) asks GS to vacate ‘ceasefire office’
Elects Khango as NNPG co-convenor
Dimapur, Sep. 15 (EMN): The NSCN (K ) led by Khango Konyak has directed its general secretary to vacate the ‘ceasefire office Dimapur’ and submit all government properties.
“The government has every right to claim and to take further steps since the disowned general secretary has no right to occupy the office and government properties,” stated the press release issued by the MIP in-charge on Monday.
The group stated that the press statement published in a section of local dailies on September 14 was baseless ‘since the nomenclature of NSCN (K) was used after the expulsion order being declared’.
“In resistance to the statement made regarding the support and co-operation gained from all the region is baseless as all the recognised regions of NSCN-K are intact and present at CHQ, Anmoi (Yongkhao village),” it read.
The NSCN (K) declared that all the statements issued without the consent from the ministry as ‘unacceptable and not to be entertained in future.’
Meanwhile, NSCN (K) has resolved to elect its Chairman Khango Konyak as co-convenor of the Naga national political groups (NNPG) and Kilonser A M Kaiba as working committee member.
