NSCN/GPRN (Khango-Vusshe) holds National Tatar Hoho; Khango Konyak calls for unity while Hokato Vusshe warns of disciplinary action for misconduct.

DIMAPUR — The National Tatar Hoho session of the NSCN/GPRN (Khango-Vusshe) was convened at Oking on February 13 and 14. The session was presided over by the Speaker, Visheto Yeptho.
In his presidential address, Lieut. Gen. (retd) Khango Konyak, President of the NSCN/GPRN, highlighted the necessity of Naga unity in strengthening the nation.
An update stated that he acknowledged that political differences, organisational divisions, and personal agendas have weakened the collective voice of the Naga people.
He called for differences to be resolved through dialogue and collective wisdom and stated that reconciliation is more essential now than ever before.
He urged all members to consciously choose reconciliation over confrontation, unity over fragmentation, and understanding over mistrust.

He further reaffirmed the commitment of the NSCN to pursue reconciliation with sincerity and responsibility and challenged all members to remain steadfast and courageous in defending the ancestral land, political rights, and the dignity of the Naga people with wisdom and restraint.
The Ato Kilonser of the NSCN/GPRN, Hokato Vusshe, in his address, welcomed members from various political groups “who recently joined the mainstream to strengthen the Naga cause”. He reminded members of their oath of allegiance to the NSCN and called for renewed dedication to serving the Naga nation with sincerity and perseverance.
He noted that the year 2026 will be a challenging period for both the Government of India and Naga political groups as they genuinely engage in dialogue towards an early political settlement for the vexed Naga political issue.
He also briefed the house on the present Naga political landscape and highlighted the competencies submitted by the NNPA, described as an addendum pending final inking as part of the common draft for a Naga political solution.
He affirmed that the collective leadership remains wholeheartedly committed to the Naga cause and appealed to all national workers to stand for truth, serve with humility, and work cohesively for future generations.
During the final session of the National Tatar Hoho, the house passed several resolutions. It resolved that all members shall discharge their assigned duties strictly in accordance with directives and guidelines issued by the competent authority.
It also resolved that any member of the NSCN found mobilising people or resources for personal interests shall be held accountable for such misdeeds, and the government shall not assume responsibility for actions undertaken in an individual capacity. Furthermore, all members shall adhere to the Yezahbo of the NSCN without exception.
In his closing remarks, the speaker acknowledged the participation of members from all regions and commended the successful conduct of the National Tatar Hoho before adjourning the house sine die.
