Dimapur, Dec. 28 (EMN): Khaghaboto area comprising 17 villages under Niuland district celebrated its golden jubilee on Wednesday in Khaghabto town with the minister of PHED, Jacob Zhimomi, as the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Zhimomi congratulated the area for reaching a milestone and appreciated the pioneers for their selfless contributions by enabling the area reached thus far. He called upon the public to remember and pay them respect.
Dwelling on the recently held NSSB exam, he urged the students to work hard and also compete in the UPSC exams. Acknowledging many educated personalities and officers working in various departments from the area, he thanked the parents for giving their best to educate them.
He further asked the people to encourage one another to grow stronger at all levels and discipline.
“Self examination is important so, focus on yourself and try to find out what you are best at,” he said.
During the programme, the dedicatory prayer was led by Phughoto Sema, executive secretary of Western Sumi Baptist Churches Association (WSBAK), while cultural items were performed by troupe from Hevishe village, Khaghaboto town, Ghonivi village and Pishikhu village.
