KGPO seeks govt intervention on Henivi/Samulguri village bridge

Dimapur, July 21 (EMN): Kuhuboto Ghakhu Public Organization (KGPO) sought State government’s intervention for immediate construction of Henivi/Semaguri village hanging bridge. In a press statement addressed to Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, KGPO president Ghoshito Shohe and general secretary Z. Ato, stated that Henivi/Samulguri hanging bridge which was constructed by villagers many years back and has been using as a main life line to Dimapur town for Henivi, Khughovi, Lotovi and other villages and also a prayer centre, where Nagas used to attend every day has been washed away by on July 19 at around 4 p.m. KGPO also stated that this is going to bring hardship since essential commodities, medical emergencies, official works and educationally etc. will be affected as the said bridge was the main route connecting to Purana bazaar. Therefore, KGPO appealed DC Dimapur to take up the matter seriously and intervene by the government for construction of the bridge at the earliest for immediate rehabilitation of the people living in those villages.
