Kohima, June 21 (EMN): The match between top two teams-- Forerunners FC and Vanguard FC ended in a 1-1 draw at the ongoing 3rd Seyie Auto Kohima Football League, at the IG Stadium in Kohima on Friday, June 21.
Both the teams have 13 points each on the table with Vanguard FC on top on a better goal difference.
Midfielder Vekhruto Resu scored in the 43rd minute for Forerunners FC ending the first half in a 1-0 lead.
In the second half of the match, Yhanshalo Kemp scored for Vanguard FC in the 58th minute to make it 1-1.
Penalty shootout today
The Kohima Town Club (KTC) will be organising the first penalty shootout at the IG Stadium in Kohima on June 22 from 8 am onwards.
According to an update received here on Friday, the champions will walk home with a cash prize of INR 50,000 while the runners-up will receive INR 30,000, including the individual award for best goalkeeper with INR 5000 along with citations.
