THE Kohima Chamber of Commerce & Industries (KCCI) has expressed shock over the killing of businessman, Helal Uddin on the evening of January 20 at Nagabazar, Kohima by unknown miscreant(s). While condemning such ‘gruesome and dastardly’ act perpetrated on a businessman, the KCCI, in a press release expressed dismay at law enforcing agencies that such incident was created in a public place by ‘gun toting anti-social elements’.
It noted that the place of the incident was located just some few meters away from the North Police Station.
The KCCI further appealed to the district administration and the police to investigate and nab the perpetrator(s) at the earliest and deliver justice.
Meanwhile, in a separate release, the Muslim Welfare Society Kohima has also condemned the killing of late Helaluddin, son of Sayabour Rahman of Lama Bahadurpur, Karimganj (Assam), inside his grocery shop at Nagabazar, Kohima on Monday. The society urged the law enforcing agencies to bring the culprit(s) to book.
