KCCI announces a four-hour closure of shops in Kohima on Saturday to mourn NNC president Adinno Z Phizo
DIMAPUR — Shops and business establishments under the Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) will remain closed for four hours on Saturday as a mark of respect to Adinno Z Phizo, president of the Naga National Council (NNC), who died on Thursday.
In a notice issued on Friday, the KCCI said the closure would be observed from 11 am to 3 pm on October 10, coinciding with the funeral service of Adinno.
Adinno, the eldest daughter of late AZ Phizo, widely regarded as the Father of the Naga Nation, died at Bethel Hospital in Kohima on October 8.
The chamber appealed to its members to cooperate with the closure and join in mourning with the bereaved family and the Naga people.
