The resource persons and campers at Koinonia Prayer Centre, Tsiesema Basa on Saturday.

Kohima, Oct. 17 (EMN): The Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) Kohima conducted an evangelistic men’s camp from October 12 to the 16th at Koinonia Prayer Centre, Tsiesema Basa. The camp was held on the theme, “…The father’s have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge”, (Ezekiel 18: 2).

 A press release from the KBC Media Ministry informed that the resource persons were Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo, Senior Pastor, KBC; Rev. G Khing;  Medotseilieü Kiewhuo, Pastor, KBC; Neibalie Kiewhuo, Pastor, KBC; H Rokopra Mekro, Assistant Pastor, KBC and Zashekho Hibo, Evangelist, KBC.

 It stated that a total of 251 campers participated in the camp wherein, the campers were divided into four groups namely- Ezekiel (God will strengthen), Jeremiah (Yahweh Exalts), Isaiah (Yahweh is Salvation) and Daniel (God is my Judge). The camp director was Lhouzakie Rutsa, deacon and assistant camp directors were Vizosül Sachü and Yentsao Tsopoe, while praise and worship was led by the men’s fellowship praise team.

It said that during the four-day long camp, various topics were discussed- sin and its consequences; repentance and salvation; father/husband as a man of prayer; temptation; the role of the holy spirit; men as guides, organisers, economists and administrators; satanism: music, tattoos, gaming, movies etc.; role of men in the church; giving: tithes and offerings; a loving and caring husband/father, blessings and curses and heaven and hell.

Meanwhile, best campers were awarded to Khrieletuo Seyie; Ivulho Achumi; Biren Singh; KK Thomas; Siekra Rutsa and Neposwu Kezo of Isaiah Group, Vikielie Kiewhuo; Vilalie Chietsü; Naba Singh; Pfusalie Mere; T Ngullie and Zeneitui Mets of Daniel Group, Kevichütuo Zumvu; Tsapise Sangram; Baiti; Kevikholhou Sorhie; Solevizo Mekro and Balie Kesi of Ezekiel Group, Neilasa Metha; Menguzotui Seyie; BC Das; H Sosü; Pusüthong Kiphire and Sonuo Khrabvü of Jeremiah group while token of appreciation were also handed to 70+ years campers – oldest campers Y Thronghokiu Yimkhiung (89),  Ale Thorie (79) Shuvlengjuv Khevazüklü (78) and PH Sashil Viseentso (79).

 On the last day (October 16), Baptism was also given to two new converts and Lord’s Supper was ministered at the culmination service on Saturday afternoon by Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo.

It added that the speaker, Rev. Kiewhuo dwelled on creation of man by God.  He stated that it was only Jesus ‘who in the form of man came to restore and reconciled mankind unto God.’

 Further,  he asserted that “only through Jesus, family can also be restored” while he pointed out that “the world today can be changed and if man can restore his relationship with God and authority which ultimately leads to salvation”.
