[dropcap]S[/dropcap]HE may not have discovered her husband Kieran Hayler’s affair with her former best friend until May, but Katie Price knew there were issues with her marriage a year ago.
The model, 36, had a traumatic experience giving birth to the couple’s son Jett with the baby boy being born several weeks early in France.
However, as Katie was lying in hospital before and after Jett’s arrival last August, her husband Kieran, 27, was enjoying his secret sordid affair with Jane Poutney, 49.
The former glamour model admitted she felt completely lacking support from her spouse during such a worrying time and ended up leaning on hairdresser pal Mikey Kardashian for emotional backing.
She told The Sun’s Sharon Hendry that Kieran was in no rush to hang around hospital in the hours after Jett’s birth on the French Riviera last summer.
He seemed to want to return to their rented holiday villa, where Jane and her husband Derrick were looking after their own children, as well as Katie’s three eldest kids Harvey, Junior and Princess.
Katie explained: ‘On the day Jett was born, Kieran came to visit me. But he was in a rush to go back to the villa and had already left when doctors suddenly burst into my room and told me, “You have 10 minutes to prepare for an operation.”
During Katie’s time in hospital, she claimed Kieran made excuses about visiting her, claiming he needed to rest a recent shoulder injury sustained in a quad bike accident.
‘I felt so scared. All I wanted was for Kieran to visit me, but he kept saying his shoulder was hurting and he needed to rest.’
She said she tried to reach Kieran via text and also appealed to Jane to persuade her husband to visit her in hospital, but it appeared the messages ‘weren’t getting received’.
Instead it was her hairdresser Mikey who rushed to Katie’s side, fixing her hair extensions and making her feel like herself again.
The model went on to claim ex-best friend Jane made her feel unattractive over the holiday while she was feeling pregnant and uncomfortable as her pal was parading around in front of Kieran in skimpy outfits.
Katie started to suspect something was wrong when Jane’s husband Derrick referred to the pair as ‘playing happy families’.
She eventually discovered the truth about Kieran and Jane’s eight month affair in May. Jane and Kieran’s affair started in July – just seven months after his marriage to Katie in the Caribbean.
Katie and Kieran are now said to be working on their marriage with the model pregnant with her fifth child and his second.

Katie, who claims Jane still hasn’t apologised for the affair, admits that she was so angry that she “knocked half her (Jane’s) front tooth out”, reports contactmusic.com. “The red mist came down and I marched over and grabbed Jane by her hair extensions.
“I can’t remember everything because it was a blur but I’m pretty sure I landed a punch on her face and knocked half her front tooth out and left it wobbling. I hope so anyway,” Katie told The Sun.
She discovered her husband’s cheating during a holiday in west Africa when she caught them kissing on the beach.
Katie said: “It was very dark but as I got closer to the beach I could make out two figures near a pile of stacked sunbeds. That’s when I stood perfectly still for 30 seconds watching my best friend kissing my husband.
“I felt physically sick. Then the red mist came down. Jane tried to tell me it wasn’t what it seemed … Kieran looked proper scared. Jane didn’t say sorry then and hasn’t said sorry to this day.”
