KASA organises painting competition

The Karbi Anglong Sports Association (KASA) organised a painting competition for students for Classes 9 to 12 here at KASA stadium on Monday.

The painting competition was organised jointly by KASA and Karbi Anglong Fine Arts and Craft Association and supported by BJP, East Karbi Anglong District Committee. Students from different schools in Diphu town participated in the painting competition.

Later, prizes were given to the winning candidates, which were given away by MP Horensing Bey, Executive Member, Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Richard Tokbi and Madhuram Lekthe and Member of Autonomous Council (MAC), Johnny Timung and Kadom Terangpi.

The first prize was won by Amrit Mech, class 12 of Rengbonghom HS School; the second prize was won by Bhagya Smita Das Class 10 of Don Bosco HS School; and the third prize was won by Sarbinong Tokbi class –10 of Erudite Academy. The top 38 students were also given prizes.
