Karbi Anglong: KAAC holds budget session 2022

Diphu, March 23 (EMN): Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Chief Executive Member (CEM), Tuliram Ronghang during a special session held at KAAC session, passed the entrusted subject budget provision for 2022-2023 under State Owned Priority Development (SOPD)/Establishment Expenditure and Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) with a total expenditure of INR 174709.700 lakh on Wednesday.
This included state fund of INR 50800.00 lakh, CSS INR 8680.00 lakh, salary INR 80660.79 lakh and non-salary INR 34568.91 lakh.
During the budget speech, CEM Ronghang expressed gratitude to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who empowered KAAC to allocate the SOPD fund to the entrusted department under the administrative control of KAAC as per need.
CEM also announced INR 450 lakh under SOPD fund for Land Revenue department (Survey) out of which, INR 232 Lakh as honorarium to sarkari gaonbura at INR 3000 per month, grand-in-aid for hosting of Karbi Youth Festival INR 100 lakh, out of which INR 20 lakh had been allocated for Karbi Lammet Amei and annual festival of indigenous tribes of Karbi Anglong.
For constituency development fund, INR 100 lakh has been allotted to each elected member. Meanwhile, CEM also broke down the departmental allocation fund under SOPD for 33 departments with a total of INR 37, 300.00 lakh.
Executive member (EM) Pradeep Rongpi appreciated CEM Tuliram Ronghang for the all round development in Karbi Anglong.
