KAOT holds 7th annual general session

Dimapur, August 26: The 7th general session of the Kohima Ao Officer Temtelongjem (KAOT) was held on August 25 at Molu Ki, Paramedical, Kohima, where P Talitemjen Ao, IAS (Rtd) exhorted the officers. Speaking on the occasion, P Talitemjen exhorted the members to come together and work hard to set a good example for the coming generations. He termed KAOT as one of the highest intellectual forums where many good things could be done by taking challenging initiatives. He said the forum should be like a “spring board” for the youngsters to achieve greater heights and urged the officers to abolish the inferiority complex which, according to him, is a stumbling block for advancement of the present society. The house decided to set up Ao Officers Forum in other district headquarters and also discussed on the grade-wise contributions for the construction of Ao Senden building. The union further decided to initiate career guidance centers in Mokokchung and Kohima.Associate pastor of KABA, Rev. Yapang, invoked God’s blessing, which was followed by presentation of audit by its general secretary. Meanwhile, it has nominated new tam of office bearers for the tenure 2016-18 headed by Toshitsüngba Aier (IPS) as president, L Youdang Jamir as vice president, R Asenla Keitzar as general secretary, Pangjung Jamir as assistant general secretary, Asangla Imti as information secretary, R Atsung Tzudir as finance secretary and Bendangkokba as treasurer. Temjen Toy, Sentiyanger Imchen and Imkonglemba were nominated as advisors.
