This was stated through a press release from the publicity cell of the Kandi Public Union. It also stated that the union will intensify its agitation if the government does not act on their demands. "The Union cautions that we shall intensify the second phase of agitation from 20th of November 2017 if the state government continues to remain silent on the issue. The second phase will be indefinite total bandh along NH-2," it stated. The bandh was called for delaying the construction of BDO office under the Chunlikha RD Block despite the laying of foundation in 2012. The union also stressed that it is the first time that the public of the area had to come out to the street with a demand to the government to address their grievances. The band will end at midnight on November 1.
