DIPHU — At the Karbi Anglong Sports Association (KASA) Stadium in Diphu, the Karbi Anglong Morning Star FC (KAMSFC) players are intensively training for the I-League 3 competition, which begins on September 3.

KAMSFC, a Diphu-based football club from Assam, is adhering to the Competition Management System (CMS) of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) to participate in the I-League 3.

A total of 25 teams are divided into five groups, with five teams in each group. The tournament spans two months.

They have been placed in Group D. In their group matches, the club will face Jaipur Elite FC, Klasa FC, Kenkre FC, and Bhuna FC. All Group D matches will be held at the KASA stadium, the official ground for KAMSFC. They will play their inaugural match against Kenkre FC from Mumbai on September 3.

With just two weeks remaining until the competition, the KAMSFC players are intensifying their training. They are supported by a head coach, three assistant coaches, and a goalkeeping coach as they prepare for the competition.

The manager and coach, Waisong Bey, expressed hope that the team would perform well in the competition and urged all football lovers and KAMSFC fans to come out and support the club on match days.

The founding general secretary of the club, George Rongpi, mentioned that the club participated in the Greater Diphu Sports Association (GDSA) and KASA club leagues, and was later renamed KAMSFC. Over the years, the club achieved success by winning titles in both the GDSA and KASA club leagues, as well as securing the Assam State Premier League (ASPL) championship twice.
