Kalos 2017 Cognizance 2nd Edition held at Pfütsero

Dimapur, August 14 (EMN): The Kalos 2017 Cognizance 2nd Edition, an inter high school literary competition under SDEO Pfutsero sub-division was held on August 12 at Baptist School, Pfutsero. Dimapur, August 14 (EMN): The Kalos 2017 Cognizance 2nd Edition, an inter high school literary competition under SDEO Pfutsero sub-division was held on August 12 at Baptist School, Pfutsero. The competition was exclusively for class 9 and 10 basing on their syllabus. 36 participants from 8 schools compete in quiz, spelling bee, extempore and essay. During the programme, social worker, entrepreneur and sponsor of the event, Wedie-ü Kronu, encouraged the students to be sincere in their studies as students have a greater role to play in the modern society to bring change for a better society.

She also advised the students to take part in social activities. She further said honesty, sincerity and obedience should be the main attributes of every student to be successful.  Judges for the competition were SDPO Pfutsero Manoj Kumar; SDO (Civil) Pfutsero, Diana Patton; branch manager of SBI Pfutsero, Paul Lana and EAC Pfutsero, Abeinuo J Ashao. The judges also encouraged the students to be sincere and dedicative in their studies and set high goals with strong determination. Winners of the quiz contest were Kewelo Tsido and Vesu Vero of Nazareth School; Vekutulü Khamo and Kupeto Lomi of Baptist School and Mewete-ü Mero and Neingulo-ü Rabvo. The ‘Best Quizzers’ were Phruphrulu Rhakho of CMHSS and Kewelo Tsido of Nazareth SchoolSpelling bee winners were Lhiti Mero of CMHSS, Metshewe-ü Ritse of Baptist School and Bedutalü Rhakho of TMTHSS.Extempore speech winners were George Mero of Nazareth school, Thisulü Chüzho of CMHSS and Kachete-ü Mero of GHSS.Essay winners were Keneilenuo Zuyie of Baptsit School, Wenyite-ü Mekru of Nazareth Schoola and RenchumiTungoe of GHS PorbaAlong with Literary competition, All India Letter Writing Competition on the theme, ‘Dear Papu (Mahatma Gandhi) you inspire me’ initiated by the Postal department Pfutsero in collaboration with Kalos Society was conducted. 12 students from different schools participated in this competition. The Kalos Society through press expressed its profound gratitude to sponsor of the event, judges, SDEO Pfutsero, participants, schools, well wishers and Baptist School Pfutsero for providing the space to for the program.
