Dimapur, May 25 (EMN): Minister for Agriculture and Cooperation G Kaito Aye on Tuesday visited Satakha sub-division under Zunheboto district to take stock of the Covid situation in the town. An update stated the minister encouraged the people to come forward and cooperate with the government to fight the pandemic. He also urged the people to get tested immediately if anybody develops any kind of symptoms; and if found positive to rush to the nearest Covid hospital.

He also urged all the people to get vaccinated and not believe rumors relating to Covid vaccination. He pointed out that most of the Covid deaths across the state and mainly in Zunheboto district were the ones who didn’t receive the vaccine.

Moreover, he also said that there was a vaccine shortage for age groups between 18 to 44 years as the production level was slow and the demand for vaccines was high.

It informed that the minister would also be attending the high-level DTF meeting to be held in Zunheboto.

The minister further provided medicines, two oxygen concentrators, masks, hand sanitisers etc worth INR 4 lakh to the Primary Health Centre Satakha. The minister will also visit the district headquarters and hold a high level meet on the worsening Covid situation in the district, it added.
