Our Correspondent Diphu, Nov. 9 (EMN): Karbi Anglong District Congress Committee (KADCC) burnt the effigies of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Assam State Finance Minister, Himanta Biswa Sharma on Nov. 11 along the Diphu-Manja road. While talking to Eastern Mirror correspondent, former MLA, Bidyasing Engleng said, ‘we condemn the BJP Government for imposing GST in the country that ruins the Indian economy and also brought many stumbling block for the common people, besides that we also condemn against the arrest of ex-Chief Minister of Assam Tarun Gogoi, former Minister Ripun Bora and other 40 members of Congress leaders on Nov. 8, 2017 during the demonstration against GST and Demonetisation.’ Former MLA Klengdun Engti and KADMCC President Kasang Terangpi and Congress leaders attended during the protest.
