Mokokchung, September 9: Kohima Ao Baptist Arogo Youth Department (KABA YD) reached Mokokchung with the mission ‘KABA CARE’ (Creating Awareness for Restoration of Environment) on September 8.
In collaboration with ten Baptist Churches under Mokokchung Town Baptist Churches Mission (MTBCM), a 35 members team of KABA youth ministry along with volunteers from youth departments cleaned litters and stain on walls by beautifying with paintings since September 8.
Volunteers gave a facelift to the Town Hall wall, MMC sumo pick up point, NST pick up point and pasting ‘No Spitting’ banners at strategic locations.
On Saturday, the team will organise a marathon at 6 a.m. from Sungkomen BOC to Imkongmeren Sports Complex followed by picking up trashes around Mokokchung. On the same evening at 6 p.m. the team will conduct worship night at Town Hall to glorify God and his creations.
On Sunday, KABA youth department will be visiting six churches for more sensitisation on care for God’s creation followed by Sunday evening and another fellowship with the CTC students on creation care.
