KAAC’s forthcoming election preparation underway

Diphu, June 10 (EMN): Today a press conference was held at the office of Deputy Commissioner conferenc hall. The meeting was presided by Karbi Anglong Deputy commissioner Adil Khan, IAS as a Returning officer of Diphu and Bokajan sub-divisions for KAAC Election 2017 said that till now the election atmosphere is normal in the district, no complaint was made so far by the Model code of Conduct team, none of the political parties are violated the model code of conduct, Sector officer and zonal officer has been appointed already and they have visited thrice in their polling station and report had been submitted, counting plant was also established and counting training will be start from 10 June onwards, added Khan during the press conference.

H.N Bora, IAS (Rtd.) the State Election Commissioner of Assam said that they have almost done the preparation for the forthcoming KAAC Election, where 2500 personal have been arrange and appointed will be deputed in every polling station under Diphu and Bokajan sub division. Regarding Security, Superintendent of Police, Dr. G.V Siva Prasad said, that they have done the arrangement of security for every polling station for the ensuing KAAC Election 2017.

DIG (CR) P.B Rabha also attended the meeting. As per the notification of the Assam State Election Commission, the Electors have to produce any of the document for casting their votes, documents such as Electronic photo Identity Card (EPIC) issued by ECI, Photo Electoral Roll, Passport, Driving License, PAN Card, Service Identity Card, Pension Identity Card, Identity Cards issued by the schools/ College/University Authority in case of schools/ College/ University going voters and Bank Passbook with photograph. In case the voters is failing to produce any of the above photo Identity Cards the voter having convincing reasons of not having such photo identity card the presiding officer may allow voting based on the following documents such as Land documents like part a land revenue or District council tax payment receipt having name of the voter or his immediate family members viz wife/ husband, parent, siblings and Ration card.
