KAAC warns institutions of misusing funds meant for free uniform to students
Diphu, May 22 (EMN): The chief executive member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council’s (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang warned school headmasters, and managing committee members that if found misappropriating of funds for free distribution of school uniforms to students, their service will be suspended and will sent to jail.
Ronghang stated this; while on his attend to the free distribution of school uniforms to school children at a function held at Diphu government boy’s higher secondary school on May 22.
The chief executive member said, “There are some in some schools, where headmasters and managing boards members are involved in misappropriating of funds meant for free distribution of school uniforms to students.
This is illegal and if any of the institution administrators is found doing it, their service will be suspended and put to jail.”
Ronghang further said there is a problem of getting wooden furniture, and steal bench and desks will be replaced them.
He added that by mid of this year, common room, school canteen, hostel facility, additional class room will be provided as per requested by the school.
Another member of KAAC, Jagatsing Engti has asked the school administrators that, uniform be reach to students.
He said that per student, it should get two pairs of school uniforms. However, there is complaint of students getting only one pair, he stated.
There were anomalies in some schools, where headmasters and managing members misuse the funds by distributing only one pair of uniforms to students.
This should not happened, Engti said. Also, he added that clothes used for making uniforms should be of good standard and not substandard materials.
