DIPHU — The Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) authority has issued an order to the respective assistant revenue officers (ARO) of Dongkamukam revenue circle and Phuloni revenue circle to take the necessary action for eviction.
KAAC authority also terminated ten Sarkari Goan Buras (SGB) in both West Karbi Anglong and Karbi Anglong districts for ‘dereliction’ of duty.
Seven SGB lost their service in West Karbi Anglong and three in Karbi Anglong in the wake of the attack on Karbi Students Association (KSA) members on the evening of February 15 at Kheroni Chariali in West Karbi Anglong when they are returning from a protest programme demanding eviction from professional grazing reserve (PGR) land and village grazing reserve (VGR) land.
The SGB members were terminated for failing to report on encroachers of PGR (Hawaipur) land under Dongkamukam revenue circle in from West Karbi Anglong district and VGR land under Phuloni revenue circle in Karbi Anglong district.
