Diphu, June 11 (EMN): The artists and musicians of Karbi Anglong has condoled the unfortunate death of two youths at Panjuri Kachari gaon under Dokmoka police station on June 8.

Condemning the incident, the artists and musicians said that violence is any form is not justifiable

The artists and musicians of Karbi Anglong has demanded for immediate arrest of all the culprits involved in the incident, to build up public awareness to counter the rumour mongering on social media and stop public vigilantism, conduct investigation into the sources and possible motives of such rumours, to take measures to prevent communalization of the situation by those vested interest persons and sensitisation of communities living near tourist areas regarding tourist safety and security.

Expressing deep condolence to the bereaved families, the artists and musicians of Karbi Anglong said, “we take a pledge in honour of the loved ones and friends of the deceased that we will strive to help and drive the authorities to apprehend the culprits of the heinous and barbaric act and ensure justice is prevail.”

In another statement the Karbi Employees Association (KEA) strongly condemned the inhuman act where the two youths were lynched. The statement stated that the negative emotion always led to destructive affect in the human personality. As human being everyone must accept mutual understanding and reject any kind of negative emotion to ensure for establishment of peace in the state.
