KA lynching: Ulfa delegation holds peace meeting with various orgs.

Our Correspondent Diphu, June 13 (EMN): A delegation of the United Liberation Front of Atom (Ulfa) pro-talk came to Diphu to get the latest update on the situation in the aftermath of the June 8 incident, where two youths of Guwahati who had come to visit a picnic spot in Kangthilangso water fall  were lynched by mob at Panjuri Kachari goan building up mistrust among various tribes and communities of the state. The delegation was received by Hills Tribal League (HTL) and various social organisations followed by a peace meeting at KSA-Inglongpho, central executive committee office, Rongthe-ang, in DIphu on June 13 Wednesday. ULFA Pro-talk, Vice chairman, Pradip Gogoi said that everywhere and every place there is a good and bad people concerning to the recent incident at Kachari goan, Kangthilangso blaming to one particular community is not good at all. He said, 'in Assam, we have to maintain peace and mutual understanding and to respect one another.' Gogoi also said that everyone has the right to visit any place either for study or for various other services so mutual understanding is important for everyone. There are lots of indigenous communities in Assam, we have to live in peace. Also, he urged upon the law and order department to give an awareness program in every corner of the state so that such rumour may not occur in the near future among the people. 'A criminal has no caste/religion/creed, a criminal is a criminal,' said Gogoi while citing that a criminal who creates problems in the region should be punished. Other leaders from various organisations also spoke during the peace meeting. During the peace meeting, resolutions were also adopted condemning the mob lynching incident while all the organisations and members present jointly appealed all sections of the people of Karbi Anglong and Assam to maintain peace and communal harmony.
