K-Pop singer Jang Hanbyul performs, interacts with fans in Dimapur

After travelling for 24 hours to reach Nagaland, K-Pop singer Jang Hanbyul finally performed in Dimapur, his first concert in India. Much to the delight of his fans, he interacted with them and performed live.

K-Pop fans thronged the IMC hall on Saturday, July 20 for the “Summer Star Tour” with Hanbyul, proving that the Hallyu (Korean wave) fascination is real and growing in a big way in Nagaland.

The event was a ‘fan meet and a mini-concert’.

Before the singer started performing for his fans, a quick on-stage conversation was conducted in which he revealed that he is a shy person and does not Google to see his photos on the internet, interviews or news about him. Much to the excitement of his fans, he said he would not mind dating his fans as he believed loving a person and being happy is important.

‘My idol date would be someone who can cook and who is generous’, Hanbyul told the fans.

He said that he started his career with American music but was introduced to Korean by his parents. One thing that he dislikes is long flight, which he said is boring and tiring. However, getting to taste food and eat what he likes is something that excites him while travelling solo.

Hanbyul enthralled his fans with not only Korean but also English song “When I was your man” by Bruno Mars, and of course Hindi song “Raabta” which he said was his favourite.

A K-Pop contest was held for fans and five of them — The Mystiques, Unnamed, Girls Access, Litsala, Asen Imchen and Asen Pongener — got the opportunity to open for Hanbyul concert in Dimapur.

The Korean star will be performing in Diphu on July 21.

The Musik-A events is hosting the “Summer Star Tour” in association with Pinkbox events and Karbi Anglong Chamber of Commerce (KAAC).
