Dimapur, Nov. 25 (EMN): K-pop superstars BTS will be collaborating with Nexon for a MapleStory BTS crossover. Nexon announced yesterday, November 24, 2020, on the MapleStory Twitter page that they will be partnering with Korean pop band BTS to create exclusive content for both MapleStory and its mobile counterpart, MapleStory M.

MapleStory is a popular 2D massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by South Korean company Wizet. As part of the lead-up to the event, a series of behind-the-scenes BTS videos will be uploaded once every week for three weeks starting today. The first teaser showing the K-pop group working on the collaboration is already out today.

One of the BTS members, Kim Seokjin, is apparently a huge fan of the game and in the trailer for the upcoming collaboration, he jokingly states that he almost paid Nexon a visit when one of his items blew up in the game.

Back in August, the official MapleStory Twitter account replied to a tweet of Jin holding two big soft-toys of MapleStory characters with the caption, “Name a more iconic duo.”

This isn’t the first time that BTS has collaborated with videogames. They recently debuted the choreography video for the song “Dynamite” on the battle royale game, Fortnite. BTS also teamed up with Beat Saber for a BTS Music Pack. BTS also has its own games like BTS Universe Story and BTS World.
