Dimapur, Feb. 1 (EMN): Governor PB Acharya has appointed Justice Uma Nath Singh as the Lokayukta of Nagaland state. Singh is a former chief justice of Meghalaya High Court.
An order issued by the government of Nagaland on Jan. 31 stated that the appointment would come into effect from the date of Singh taking the oath-of-office before the governor. His term will run for five years/or till he attains the age of 70.
