Dimapur, April 25 (EMN): Former judge of the Supreme Court of India, Justice HK Sema on Monday urged members of the bar to be the ‘voice of the voiceless’ and maintain dignity of the profession by working hard.

Sema was speaking during a programme held at the District Court complex in Zunheboto.

Sema added that there is no substitute for hard labour in the profession.

He acknowledged the initial efforts for a separate high court of the state, and added that the project and dream of the Nagas had ‘come a long way and would soon be a reality’, an update from DPRO Zunehboto informed.

Sema added that he would also approach the concerned department at the central level for the inauguration of the state high court at the earliest.

Earlier, while delivering the welcome address, District and Session Judge, Zunheboto, Ajongba Imchen, said that it was a ‘historic’ moment for the district court to have a former judge of the supreme court to visit and have an interaction hour with the concerned department.

It added that the momentous occasion would be ever cherished.
