Jubilee Memorial School wins district-level quiz contest
DIMAPUR — Jechu Seb and Lanuren Jamir of Jubilee Memorial School, Mokokchung, were declared winners of the inter-school district-level Red Ribbon quiz competition held in the conference hall of the chief medical officer’s (CMO), office in Mokokchung town on Friday.
An update from the CMO’s office stated that the inter-school district-level Red Ribbon quiz competition was organised by District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit (DAPCU), Mokokchung.
It stated that Ternemla and Waluienla from Town Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung, secured the 2nd position, while Moajungla and Imtinola from Model Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung, secured the 3rd position and Sentimenla and Nungshisungla from Straightway Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung, secured the 4rd position.
It informed that the winners of the district-level Red Ribbon quiz competition would represent the district in the upcoming state-level competition.
Earlier, the CMO of Mokokchung, Dr. Kibangkumba, urged the participants to learn and be a beacon of hope for society. He stressed the urgency of being aware of HIV/AIDS in order to prevent and eradicate the disease.
The competition was conducted to generate awareness of HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted infections.
