Wokha, Dec. 13 (EMN): Christian Model High School (CMHS) Wokha, on Tuesday celebrated its golden jubilee on the theme ‘Arise and shine in God’s faithfulness’, with Advisor, Law & Justice, Dr. Chumben Murry as the special guest.

Addressing the jubilee celebration, Dr. Murry said jubilee is a diverse celebration but it is also a time to retrospect on the past years and to keep counting the blessings that have been accomplished over the years.

He appreciated and congratulated the managing staff of the school and the teachers, past and present, for their efforts, which have made it possible for the institution to celebrate a milestone achievement.

Murry also lauded the administration, proprietor and headmasters for upgrade of the school for the infrastructure development as well as delivering good results over the past recent years.

The former minister said that though Naga society has evolved and the literacy rate increased over the years, yet he felt that there is much more room for improvement.

Education should result in crystallisation of adoption of certain principals that are important to society including ethics, integrity, responsibility, respect for laws and respect for other people’s rights.

On the occasion, Murry also released the school’s jubilee souvenir.

Senior pastor of Ao Revival Church, Dimapur, Rev. Dr. Imchayanger Walling , who shared a message on the theme ‘Arise and shine in God’s faithfulness’, said every individual needs to rise up from failures, discouragements, shortcoming, weaknesses and hindrances by looking to God on what He can do for them.

He challenged the gathering to rise up to greater heights and not to let their failures be a source of discouragement, but to let in the grace of God.

Earlier, Rev. Zanao Mozhui, pastor of Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur, unveiled and dedicated the jubilee monolith, while welcome address was delivered by Serena Murry, administrator CMHS.
