Joint task force formed to protect Amur falcon

Dimapur, Nov. 24 (EMN): Mon district administration has formed a joint task force of administration, police, village council, village guard and Forest department to stop hunting, trapping, killing and selling of Amur falcon in the district. The joint task force was formed at a meeting convened by the deputy commissioner, Mon, Thavaseelan K on November 22 to protect the ‘winged guest,’ informed an update from the DIPR. The update added that the meeting was attended by the superintendent of police, Mon; divisional forest officer, Mon; SDO (C) Sadar; SDO (C) Phomching, village council chairmen and village council member of Tangnyu, Tuimei, Totok Chingnyu, Totok Chingkho, Totok Chingha, Totok Chinglen, Totok Omlen and Nyahnyu and head GB of Longshen and Phomching.
