DIMAPUR — In compliance with the directive of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, the Department of Health and Family Welfare has informed that the joint steering committee for monitoring the collaborative activities of the State Action Plan for Rabies Elimination (SAP-RE) has been constituted.
According to a DIPR report, the joint steering committee consists of commissioner and secretary, H&FW as chairperson; secretary, PHED (co-chairperson); secretary, V&AH department (co-chairperson) and state nodal officer of NRCP and designated nodal veterinary officer at state DADH (member secretary).
The other members include mission director (NHM), H&FW; principal chief conservator of forest; secretary, Municipal Affairs/Urban Development department; secretary, Environment, Forest and Climate Change; secretary, Public Works Department; chief engineer, PHED; director, V&AH; director, NIMSR; chief engineer, PWD; director, Municipal Affairs/Urban Development; director, I&PR department; dean of College of V&AH, and representative from NGO.
