- DIMAPUR — A joint
inspection of the Foothills Road construction in Longleng district has
certified significant progress, with the project completion pegged at 60% thus
far.

Committee (NFHRCC) informed that the inspection was jointly conducted on
Thursday by the committee, the department concerned, the contracted firm, and
representatives from Phom People’s Council (PPC).
- Following the inspection, a meeting was held at Yonglok
village, bringing together village councils from Namsang area and the
neighbouring Anaki Village Council.

- “All the public of this zone supports the activities of the
NFHRCC for their visionary directive in making the dream Nagaland Foothills
Road a reality. The public also thanked the state government under the able
leadership of CM N Rio and Minister of PWD (R&B) G Kaito Aye for their
inclusive approach to fulfilling the wishes of the 12 Nagaland tribes’
initiation through the NFHRCC since 2013 into a reality.
- “The joint inspections certify a technical and physical
achievement of the maintenance road project at Longleng division at 60 %
completed. Therefore, it was endorsed to the department concerned to release
funds accordingly,” it stated.
