Naga artist John Mpamei based in Qatar has announced his return with a new soulful sound to fans with the release of his long-awaited second album “Illuminate”. The first record is a follow-up to his 2016 self-titled LP and is set to be released on August, mentioned a press note.

John Mpamei currently works in Doha Qatar and has played in many international festivals.

Mpamei recorded most of his songs from the album “Illuminate” in Doha Qatar and worked with producers and singers like Alobo Naga, Lima and Kevi.

“Illuminate” comprised of eight tracks similar to “The Signs” which John and Kevi wrote in an overly romantic way. While each song varies in tone, they all are originals and circle back to one universal theme. “Illuminate” is a soul-filled, catchy collection of reminders that love, harmony, diversity, and unity can co-exist in our modern world,” stated a press note from the artist Mpamei. The new record includes “Not Ok” and a chill pop “Always on my mind” which will linger in your head.

“The new album is so relaxing. The word that describes it best is “balance”. Listeners will find it perfect for healing purposes and meditation”, stated the press note.

His new single from the album “Illuminate” was shot in Georgia, Bangkok, Doha and Maldives, and the video will soon be released before the album.  The full album of eight tracks will be available worldwide by this November.
