DIMAPUR — Reliance Jio has expanded JioTrue5G coverage at the Hornbill Festival at Kisama village, Kohima, allowing visitors with a Jio subscription and compatible 5G-enabled devices to experience next-generation wireless technology during the 24th edition of the festival.
In a press release, the telecommunications company mentioned that, as the digital partner for the seventh consecutive year and in an effort to ensure inclusivity, Jio has also introduced an opportunity for visitors without a Jio SIM.
People at the festival venue, it said, can obtain a free Jio SIM by scanning a barcode available at the designated Jio stall and use unlimited 5G services.
In addition to the expanded network coverage, Jio will be broadcasting select events from the Hornbill Festival live on JioTV, providing audiences nationwide with real-time access to the cultural celebration.
It will also provide high-speed internet leased line (ILL) connectivity at the media centre.
