ADILABAD (TELANGANA) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday attacked “dynasty parties,” inthe country, saying they may have different faces, but “jhoot and loot” was their common character.

Addressing a well-attended public rally in this district, the PM also said his life was like an “open book” and that he had dedicated himself to public welfare as a “sevak.”

“The face of dynasty parties may be different but they have a similar character–jhoot and loot (lies and loot),” he charged.

Modi further said that while “TRS became BRS,” it did not change anything, apparently for Telangana. Now the Congress has succeeded the regional party in the ruling saddle, but “nothing is going to happen,” he claimed.

He alleged BRS did ‘scams’ like the Kaleswaram lift irrigation project during its tenure and charged the ruling Congress with “sitting on files instead of taking action.”

The K Chandrasekhar Rao-founded Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) was later rechristened as Bharat Rashtra Samiti.

At the rally, the PM listed out several developmental works undertaken in the past 15 days in the country and said this was to further strengthen ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ to ‘Viksit Bharat.’

He also recalled he had detailed discussions with all his ministers and top officials in New Delhi on Sunday about an action plan for a developed India.

Modi further underlined his party’s welfare of Adivasis and said highest priority was being accorded in this connection.

He further said his “life is like an open book. People of the country know about it.”

“When I left home in my childhood, I left with a dream that I will live for the countrymen,” he said.

The “140 crore people of this country are my family. Mera Bharat mera parivar,”(MY India is my family,” he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday dedicated to the nation and laid the foundation stone of multiple development projects related to power, rail and road sectors in Telangana worth more than INR 56,000 crore.

In his brief address, the PM highlighted India’s economic growth.

The PM’s official function here was attended by the State Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy among others.

After a long time, a CM of Telangana received PM Modi and shared dais with him during the official event.

BRS supremo and former CM K Chandrasekhar Rao had, on several occasions, skipped the PM’s official visits to the state in the past.

At the event here, the Prime Minister, among other projects, dedicated NTPC’s 800 MW (Unit-2) of Telangana Super Thermal Power Project in Peddapalli.

Based on ultra-supercritical technology, the project will supply 85 per cent power to Telangana and will have the highest power generation efficiency of approximately 42 per cent among all power stations of NTPC in the country.

The foundation stone of the project was also laid by the PM earlier.

The PM also dedicated the 660 MW (Unit-2) of North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project in Chatra, Jharkhand. This is the country’s first Supercritical Thermal Power Project conceived with an Air Cooled Condenser (ACC) of such large magnitude which reduces water consumption to one-third in comparison to conventional water-cooled condensers.

The commencement of work in this project was flagged off by the Prime Minister.

Modi said the INR 56,000 crore worth projects will write new chapter of development in several states.

He further said today India was the “only country” in the world which has emerged as a large economy by clocking 8.4 per cent growth in the previous quarter. India’s growth rate was the point of discussion for the past 3-4 days across the world.

“With this pace, India will become the third largest economy of the world,” he added.

Further, Centre was cooperating in every way in realising the development dream of the people of Telangana, the PM said.

In his address, Revanth Reddy said PM means like a big brother and that the state needs his support for it to progress like Gujarat, Modi’s home-state.

Telangana, a Congress-ruled state did not want confrontation with the Centre and desired cordial relations, he said.

“We would like to contribute to the ambitious target of a USD 5 trillion economy,” he added.

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy also participated.
