JGHSS and Dainty Buds School enter pre-quarter

Kohima, July 3 (EMN): John Government Higher Secondary School and Dainty Buds School secured pre-quarter final round after winning the preliminary matches on Wednesday, June 3, at the ongoing third Kohima District Inter-School Football Tournament, at the IG Stadium in Kohima.

Grace Higher Secondary School faced defeat after losing to John Government Higher Secondary School 0-4 in the first match. Vilu Theyo netted the first goal in the 18^th minute. Two of the goals were scored by Vichüto Phira in the 31^st and 36^th minute, while Vizakrüto Sothu scored another goal in the 34^th minute. On the other hand, Grace Higher Secondary School could not manage a single score.

Dainty Buds School beat Bethel Higher Secondary School 2-0 in the second match. After much attempts, both team failed to score in the first half. Dainty Buds School went on to score two goals in the second half leading them to victory. The goals came from the boot of Dziesekhotuo (C) and Thejanguzo in the 32^nd and 51^st minute respectively.
