Dimapur, Oct. 8 (EMN): Janata Dal United (JDU) Nagaland has welcomed all the political leaders from Bihar, who are in Nagaland to commemorate the 120th birth anniversary of Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan and All Nagaland Bihari Conference organised by three organisations namely Matri Foundation, Bihari Samaj, and Kalyan Samaj.
A press release from JD(U) Nagaland stated that JP Narayan was instrumental in restoring peace in Nagaland from 1947 to 1963. It stated that through the conference and birth anniversary celebration, JD(U) Nagaland endeavoured to pass down the history of great contribution made by JP Narayan in building peaceful Nagaland during the year 1947 to 1963, who stayed in Nagaland for a long period to make things right.
JD(U) Nagaland informed that Bihar chief minister, Nitish Kumar, would arrive in Nagaland on October 11 and address a public gathering at All Nagaland Bihari conference and jayanti celebration at DDSC, Dimapur.
Six JDU leaders from Bihar who have arrived in Dimapur are Shravan Kumar, minister of Rural Development, government of Bihar; Kaushlendra Kumar, Member of Parliament; Ramprit Mandal, Member of Parliament and JD(U) national general secretary; Dhananjay Singh, former MP and JD(U) national general secretary; Sunil Kumar Pintu, Member of Parliament; and Md. Zama Khan, minister of Minority Welfare, government of Bihar.
