Dimapur, April 25 (EMN): The Joint Co-ordination Committee of Villages (JCCV) on Monday decided to lock the office of the SDO(C), Dhansiripar from May 2 for an indefinite period.

The decision to this effect was taken during a meeting at Dhansiripar village Community hall.

JCCV stated that it had put off agitations on the request of the Home Commissioner, Nagaland through SDO Dhansiripar and verbal request of the chief secretary, and it had been waiting for the government to resolve the impasse.

‘It is not known if the Dimapur-Chumoukedima boundary demarcation Committee headed by Home Commissioner Nagaland could submit the report to the Government,’ an update from JCCV read.

It further stated that even after almost four months, ‘the government neither tried to listen to the JCCV nor cared to speed up the decision on the impasse’.

JCCV therefore stated that the office would be locked till the notification is partially modified.
