Japan university students in Mopungchuket on study tour

Mopungchuket, August 19: A 7-member team from Waseda University from Tokyo, Japan, is in Mopungchuket village, Mokokchung, on a cross-culture study tour. They arrived here on August 18 and would leave on August 24.
The visiting team from Japan comprised of 6 university students and a professor. The team is being hosted by the Mopungchuket Village Council and facilitated by the Sustainable Development Forum Nagaland (SDFN).
During their stay, the visitors would be engaging in learning the traditional ways and life of a typical Ao Naga village, village governance and administration, community land-use and resource management systems, cultures and traditions of the community, arts and crafts of the community, challenges and opportunities of the community, and overall development challenges and pathways of Nagaland, among other things.The team would leave Mopungchuket on the morning of August 24 for Kohima where they would be staying for another two days. During their stay in Kohima, they are expected to visit the War Cemetery, State Museum, Naga Heritage Village Kisama and Dzulakie.
