Jano Nyekha releases new music video in 20 dialects

Dimapur, March 8 (EMN): Jano Nyekha, a popular musician from Nagaland, released a new music video in 20 different dialects with a message on women empowerment titled “Oh Hi Hey” at the School of Music Dimapur, on Monday.

Western Chakhesang Mothers’ Association President, S Nezolu Rhakho launched the new music video.

Rhakho told the gathering at the launch event to reflect on the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day and ‘choose to challenge’ everything that has been holding them back.

Nyekha said at the launch programme that the project was a very difficult one compared to other projects that she had worked till date. She added the project was very challenging as she had to learn 17 different Naga dialects (excluding Nagamese, English and her mother tongue) for the song.

The music video also has special appearances from several wellknown artistes and personalities from the state.
