James Basnet & Band visits Mokokchung

Mokokchung Town Baptist Arogo Youth Department platinum jubilee feast on Sunday evening service was indeed filled with flawless melodies and praises as James Basnet and his band- the nominee and Award winner of International Music and Entertainment Association (IMEA) and the recipient of Akademia Music Award 2014 USA took the centre stage.

The Band front man took the crowed with their hit making song “Brand news day,” and ‘just the way you are’ which won IMEA award 2015 and got nominated for Grammy from his upcoming album “Refresh”.

The team stated that the visit to Mokokchung was a great experience and they were truly blessed and humbled by the way they were so warmly welcomed with open arms.

“The young people here are so enthusiastic and so hungry for God. We believe they will reach greater heights as they continue to trust in God.”Basnet and his band said they want to thank each college and church they visited for the wonderful time and look forward to more blessed times ahead.

Their visit to Mokokchung was initiated by Mr Limaonen Imchen and his wife Hannah Brown.

The feast was also entertained by Jubilee Choir and various artists different Youth Department Fellowship under MTBA Y/D and Youth Ministry from different Churches and. Upcoming Christian Band like Beyond Sunday also came up his their song ‘We live out’.

The feast programme was exhorted by Toshi Sanglir, Youth Secretary, ABAM.

Married to Imlinaro Longchar, James Basnet who proudly calls Nagaland his home visited Mokokchung from June 23-27 with his band of four other musicians.

They visited Jubilee Memorial College, Nagaland Bible College, Nagaland Christian Revival Church (Youth Department), Clark Theological College and the MTBA Youth Department’s platinum jubilee celebration.

The band will be touring Europe, Jerusalem, Hongkong and Singapore from August to September.
