Jam Studio 11 officially launched at Dimapur

[dropcap]W[/dropcap]ith the aim to deliver top quality recording avenues for musicians in Nagaland, and to help facilitate qualitative growth of the music scene, Jam Studio 11 was officially launched at Dimapur on Saturday, November 22. An eclectic mix of musicians, artists and dignitaries from diverse backgrounds attended the official launch event.
The launch was an informal affair, with the brains behind the studio, Temjen Jamir who interacted with visitors providing them with a tour of the entire complex.
A soft opening was also conducted earlier today, with representatives from the Diphupar Village Council, the Ao Union Diphupar and the Langpangkong Union Diphupar. Pastor of the Padhum Pukhuri Ao Church, Tiayanger exhorted the gathering and pronounced a prayer to invoke God’s blessings towards this new venture.
Joint Director for the Nagaland state Rural Development Department, Imlimeren Jamir spoke during the soft opening and expressed confidence that this one of a kind venture would bear dividends and contribute to the upliftment of the music industry and Naga youth in general.
Located at B Khel, Lane 1, Diphupar Village; 4th Mile, the studio complex consists of a two storied building that offers both acoustic and digital recording with high range recording equipment catered to the clients and artist’s needs and preferences. The complex consists of various amenities for musicians and artists to work with the Jam Studio 11 team, in a comfortable and conducive environment.
Jam Studio 11 includes parking area, guest rooms, a dining area and spacious lobbies. The Jam Studio 11 also includes a fully equipped jam room, for musicians to practice before proceeding to the main recording area, which is also stacked with high end instruments and recording equipments.
Temjen Jamir, the owner and chief head of Jam Studio 11, is a guitarist and music producer who has spent nearly a decade honing his own brand of guitar dominated hard rock instrumental music. He is the guitarist and producer for Polar Lights, a band currently enjoying tremendous popularity among both musicians and fans in the country and beyond.
Jam Studio 11 also includes a graphic designing section, with a creative team to help channel their client’s ideas and portray them through a unique platform.
With a significant amount of financial and technical investment made, the studio strives to provide quality centric production that matches the aspirations of our clients. This is probably the first time in Nagaland that a recording and production house can boast of such top notch equipment, which can provide musicians and artists with a diverse range of options to explore their sound and musical prowess.
