Jacob Zhimomi insists every scheme to reach beneficiaries
KOHIMA— Minister of PHED and Cooperation, Jacob Zhimomi, has insisted that every scheme introduced by the government should reach the targeted beneficiaries.
Zhimomi stated this during a meeting with the senior officials from the department of Cooperation held in his residential office in Dimapur on Friday. A press release issued by the department stated that the crucial meeting was held in view of the upcoming cooperation minister’s conference called by the union minister of Home and Cooperation, Amit Shah.
While reminding that the purpose of the department was to deliver service to the public, the minister urged the officers to ensure that all the scheme reach the target population. Besides, the minister also took stock of the various schemes and programmes that the department is implementing, especially the computerisation of primary agriculture credit societies (PACS) and the cancellation of non-functioning cooperative societies.
The minister further highlighted some of the programmes and vision that he has in mind, which he expected to execute in the coming days.
The departmental team was led by the additional registrars of Cooperative Societies, Bendangla Longkumer and Alangla Tonger.
