ITI Phek holds 2nd convocation ceremony
DIMAPUR — Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Phek held its 2nd convocation ceremony on September 19 with the Superintendent of Police, Phek, Dr. Pritpal Kaur, as the special guest and Sahail, member of Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship, as a special invitee representing the district skill committee.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Pritpal Kaur, encouraged the graduating students to pursue their dreams with unwavering determination and also emphasised on the importance of staying away from drugs and intoxicants for a bright future.
A DIPR report stated that Dr. Kaur also gave away certificates to the successful graduates and urged them to explore entrepreneurial opportunities available through various government schemes.
Earlier, Dr. Kaur lighted the ceremonial lamp.
Meanwhile, Sahail delivered a speech on the district skill committee and provided insights into government policies and schemes aimed at skill development.
The welcome address was delivered by Imchem Ao, Principal of ITI Phek, while Wewude, a carpenter trainee and outgoing student, spoke on behalf of the graduating class. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Adoveyi, VI (W/s, Cal. & Sc).
