It is raining Modi
[dropcap]I[/dropcap]t is raining Modi everywhere. From far west America to extreme east Australia the Modi euphoria prevails. There is no denying about it. Today, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a stronger candidate to contest for the hypothetical ‘One Nation’ world president’s post.
Narendra Modi’s charisma is one prime reason why he is very popular today. People are drawn by his convincingly tough-talking manner peppered with light humour and also with an element of friendliness. But in addition to these masalas there is one important factor that has been outdoing the Modi critics and rivals. So what has been that important factor which is making the Brand-Modi to have propelled this far? The smooth media management carried out by the ‘inside men’ of Modi and his other ’blue-eye boys’ is one factor enabling for the jetting the Brand-Modi to wherever things are matter the most. The hype the national media especially the electronic ones built up soon after Narendra Modi was named the Prime Ministerial candidate by the saffron party was enormous. That hype had resulted in creating the so called Modi-Wave (now Modi-Tsunami to some die-hard supporters of the Prime Minister). The highly charged hype later completed its work by having got instilled itself in the public psyche. Once this process got over whatever Narendra Modi utters becomes ‘divine’ for many. He sees, goes and conquers the hearts of the people. He speaks what the people would like to hear. Modi knows well the pulse of the public and he dances with the beat of it. Narendra Modi knows where the thirst of the public lies. He pours water in it. For instance, Narendra Modi chooses to speak in Hindi and gets himself attired in kurta pyjama on occasions for he knows how to quench the nostalgic-feeling filled NRIs and Indians working in far off foreign soils. In the process Narendra Modi brings the NRIs and the Indians working overseas nearer home. Modi studies well where the Congress party had missed to tread. He scratches the itches wherever the Gandhis or the Congress leaders had failed to do so. The people see in him a dynamic and promising Bharat.
Which Indian will not be attracted by the man who re-assures the idea of strong India?
