DIMAPUR — According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Nagaland state is likely to experience isolated rainfall and thunderstorms on April 8.
It stated that the cyclonic circulation over eastern Assam and neighbouring areas persists and is currently observed at 0.9 km above mean sea level. Meanwhile, the cyclonic circulation over northern Bangladesh and surrounding regions at the same altitude has weakened.
Light to moderate rain is highly probable in many areas of Arunachal Pradesh and in a few areas of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura, as per IMD.
On April 9, dry weather is expected across Peren, Dimapur, Kohima, Phek, Wokha, and Zunheboto. However, isolated rainfall and thunderstorms are likely in Kiphire, Mokokchung, and Tuensang. Scattered rainfall and thunderstorms are forecasted for Longleng and Mon districts.
From April 10 to 13, isolated rainfall and thunderstorms are expected in Peren, Dimapur, Kohima, and Phek districts.
Mokokchung, Longleng, Mon, and Tuensang are expected to experience dry weather on April 10 and 11. However, across Nagaland, isolated rainfall and thunderstorms are likely to continue from April 12 to 13.
