DIMAPUR — A team of officials of the Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland State Branch (IRCSNB) led by its general secretary, Akhale V Khamo, meet the victims of the mudslide/ landslide in Pherima village and provided immediate relief.
It may be mentioned here that six persons lost their lives in a devastating mudslide that occurred in Pherima village along the NH-29 on September 3. Several houses, wayside hotels and other infrastructures were damaged in the incident.
An update from the organisation that the its general secretary with her dedicated team from the managing committee mobilised resources and distributed relief materials such as blankets, hygiene kits, kitchen sets to help alleviate the immediate needs of the victims.
CPO acknowledges support
The Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO) has acknowledged the overwhelming response to its appeal for assistance following the devastating landslide that struck Pherima and Tsiepama Model Village on September 3.
It has expressed gratitude to all individuals, villages, organisations, Nagaamii Infratech Pvt. Ltd., and government of Nagaland for their support. It stated that the contribution in various forms have made significant difference in the lives of those displaced and affected.
Meanwhile, CPO has conveyed condolence to the families of those who have lost their loved ones and expressed solidarity during this difficult time.
