Nagaland unit of Indian Red Cross Society conducts CPR training for CRPF personnel.

DIMAPUR — As part of the nation-wide observance of ‘Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Awareness Week’ from October 13 to the 17th, Nagaland branch of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCSN), in collaboration with the 78 Battalion CRPF, Zubza, conducted a CPR training programme for the personnel at the CRPF campus in Zubza under Kohima district on Wednesday.
An update from IRCSN stated that the programme was aimed at enhancing awareness, preparedness and capacity building among the public and uniformed personnel in performing life-saving CPR techniques during emergencies.
It stated that Dr. Sangita Mary Raja, CMO-SG (Commandant), in her keynote address, highlighted the importance of CPR knowledge and training. She explained what CPR is, when and how it should be administered and emphasised that timely intervention could save countless lives in critical situations.

Trainers from the Indian Red Cross Society, Nagaland State Branch, conducted both theoretical and practical sessions on CPR. The participants actively engaged in hands-on practice, demonstrating great enthusiasm and commitment to learning the vital procedure.
It stated that CRPF personnel have appreciated the Red Cross team for imparting valuable practical training. It further stated that the initiative was part of the Indian Red Cross Society’s continuous effort to build a more resilient and responsive community equipped with essential life-saving skills.
