IRCS extends reliefs to displaced Rengma Nagas

The Indian red Cross Society Nagaland State Branch has provided 35 bags of rice, blankets and readymade garments and three wheel chairs to three paralyzed person taking shelter in the Rengma Baptist Church Relief Camp at Dimapur on December 29.The Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland State Branch team was led by Mrs. Abeni TCK chairperson IRCSN; Dr. SI Tushi Ao, vice chairman IRCSN; Mrs. Helena Yepthomi, Viya Sekhose, Sawathan Kez, State Managing Committee Members; Chovuo Pfuzeh, Coordinator IRCSN; and Zakie Kire, general secretary IRCSN.
On December 31, IRCSN team led by Zakie Kire, Dr. SI Tushi Ao, Mrs. Helena Yepthomi, Viya Sekhose, Chovuo Pfuzeh, Robin Vitokhu, Kuldip Jain, along with 20Red Cross volunteers visited four relief camps namely at Shantipur, Silonijan, Chokihola and Jompha. In all the relief camps, IRCSN has provided rice, blankets, readymade garment etc. in big quantity to both the communities.
On January 16, IRCSN team headed by Mrs. Abeni TCK along with Mrs. Helena Yepthomi, Mrs. Lucy J Tongoi, Robin Vitokhu, Diganta Buruah, Zakie Kire along with four members of Muslim Council Dimapur visited four relief camps at Shantipur, Government LP School Barpathar, Old Barpathar Government Girl High School and Government LP School Silonijan. IRCSN has provided rice, dal, sugar, tea leaf, M Oil, salt, potato, cabbage, onion, other essential green vegetable, eggs, meat, buckets, jugs, cups, blankets, bedsheets, readymade garments, utensils (big size) karais (big size) and family size utensils & karai in big quantity to all the victims of both the communities.
Besides, Muslim Council Dimapur has provided 25 nos of blankets and 200 nos. of branded new Jeans, M/s. Jack & Jill provided readymade garment for adult and children in big quantity, Junior Red Cross Unit of Vidya Bhavan High School, Kuda village ā€˜Cā€™ Khel Rs. 2000, Khriehulie Kire Colony provided Rs 5000 and many well wishers provided readymade garment in big quantity towards the relief operation.
Meanwhile, the Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland State Branch has expressed gratitude to all concerned for their contribution. It has particularly thanked the IRCSN Vice President and State chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, for all the support and also to Mrs. Hushili Sema, DC Dimapur, for the necessary logistic support to enable IRCSN to carry out the relief operation successfully.
